Backyard Pet Services was launched out of a really clear vision for what high-quality pet care should look like based on the owner’s personal experience traveling for 20 years. “As a pet owner, I know what it is like to be anxious about your pet’s well-being. When you’re traveling you want to know that your pets are in good hands and that all is well at the house. When your pet needs grooming, you want them in a clean environment, with skilled hands and a gentle touch to help them look their best. When you have an issue such as your pet’s anxiety or aggressive behavior, you want to get to the root of it and get the problem solved. Lastly, you want your pet to be among family — our scoopers are also our sitters because it’s just so much better to have someone you and your pets know in the back yard. Throughout it all is the idea of relationship. In everything we do, we believe in caring for you and your pets like family.”

Jalissa is passionate about working with animals, reading, and prioritizing self-care. She enjoys fostering well-being in both herself and others, always seeking balance and personal growth through her love of animals and literature.

Jennifer is a mom and wife that has a love for animals! In between her kids extracurricular activities she is out and about in McKinney taking care of your dogs and cats!

Isabel has a passion for helping others and a love for animals. She is so happy to care for your fur-babies in any way she can!

Shannon is a proud mom, grandma, and fur-mom! She loves taking care of people, animals, and homes!
Our Groomers
Lisa
Lead Groomer - Currently Out on a Leave of Absence
Lisa is our Lead Groomer and has 17 years of grooming experience. She has also volunteered with rescues for many years. She has her Grooming Certification through Petsmart and came to us all the way from Arizona!
In her spare time Lisa volunteers & supports Dachshund Lovers of Texas!
Mary
Groomer
Mary has 5 years of experience as a groomer. She received her certification through Petsmart Grooming Academy in 2019. Mary also helped establish the Backyard Pet Grooming service line in 2020.
In her spare time Mary volunteers and supports the SPCA of Texas!
Te'Aer
Groomer
Te’Aer joined our team in 2024, but has been grooming for about 5 years. She comes to us from Petsmart and has fallen in love with the mobile aspect of grooming.
In her spare time Te’Aer volunteers and supports Operation Kindness!
Myla
Groomer
Myla has been grooming for 5 years and has always been in a mobile setting. She trained under a master groomer and has a passion for grooming!
In her spare time Myla volunteers and supports the SPCA of Texas!
Savannah
Groomer
Savannah has been grooming for 4 years and has enjoyed every second of it. She took her love of pets and was able to turn it into a rewarding career.
She got her start at Petsmart, but has spent the last few years as a groomer for a Vet clinic.
Max
Bather & Grooming Apprentice
Max has a passion for working with animals and has experience with many different dog breeds. He has been working with and around dogs for many years, including experience as a vet tech. Max also does some pet sitting for us so you may find him taking care of your babies while you’re out of town!
In his spare time Max volunteers and supports the Love Pit Rescue!

Hooper joined our team at the beginning of 2024 as our new dog trainer. He has over 4 years of experience in training dogs. From puppy training to behavior modification, he has seen (and trained) it all.
In his spare time, Hooper likes to volunteer & support the Collin County Animal Shelter.
