Our light groom includes:
*External gland expression is included in our standard grooming services. With an external expression, the anal glands are squeezed from the outside of the rectum and the liquid is expressed. Please be aware that with thicker anal gland liquid or where an infection is present, this method may be insufficient to completely empty the glands. The ideal way to express anal glands is by internal expression under the care of your veterinarian. Only your vet can express the internal glands.
A full mobile groom includes everything provided with our bath-and-brush service, plus a customized haircut. You can also choose one or more grooming add-ons based on your dog’s coat and care needs.
Mobile dog grooming prices vary by your dog’s weight, coat type, breed, condition, and whether you select a bath service or full haircut. Additional charges may apply for matting, special handling, de-shedding treatments, or larger dogs requiring a second groomer.

Scheduling for our mobile dog grooming services operates on a route-based system rather than a specific time of day. The timing of the first appointment of the day can be accurately predicted, but the subsequent schedule is set 30-60 days in advance. The time of day for each appointment is finalized 72 hours before the scheduled day, determined by the established route. Our primary goal is to maintain the stability of your appointment once it has been anchored onto the schedule. However, there are three potential factors that might necessitate adjustments:

Backyard Pet Services loves the convenience of having one account per customer to manage online requests, scheduling, and invoicing. Customers can request appointments, review schedules, and manage invoices through one secure online account.
Our groomers primarily use Tropiclean Coconut and Papaya all-in-one shampoo and conditioner. We use a special tear-free shampoo just to clean the face. Also, the vans carry hypoallergenic oatmeal shampoo if this is needed. Sometimes a customer will provide a specific product that must be used — this is fine and the groomer is happy to accommodate.
We have four WagNTails vans — they are all gorgeous, clean, and state-of-the-art full grooming salons that provide the groomer everything he or she would need in a brick and mortar salon. The vans are powered by generators and have full electrical outlets, warm water, powerful hairdryers, and all the shampoos and supplies a groomer could ever need. In the event there is an issue with the generator (rare, but it has happened), there is a backup electrical cord that the groomer can plug into your porch or garage to keep the process moving.
We also have two Hanvey grooming vans. These are configured slightly differently but are also state of the art with a major advantage over our WagNTails vans: no generator! The Hanvey vans are battery powered which makes the salon simpler and more reliable to manage.
